Baseball Recap: La Vega Pirates vs. Waco Lions
La Vega was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 16-11 to the Waco Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 last Tuesday.
La Vega's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Waco, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.
La Vega does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waco, they will host Ellison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Waco their first taste of in-conference action this season.
