The McMinn Central Chargers will head out on the road to square off against the Ooltewah Owls at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
McMinn Central took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 12-7 victory over Polk County. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for McMinn Central considering their one-run performance the game before.
Lauren Peterson made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits.
