Baseball Recap: Idaho Falls Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hillcrest on Thursday, Idaho Falls came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Knights on Thursday, falling 13-6. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Luke Yorgason was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Idaho Falls: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-14 otherwise.

Idaho Falls has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Hillcrest, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10.

While Idaho Falls had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
