With a playoff win on the line, Lake Central rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 47-25 margin over the Munster Mustangs. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Lake Central had a senior duo take command as Vanessa Wimberly posted 14 points and four steals and Ayla Krygier went 5-for-8 to rack up 12 points and five boards. What's more, Krygier also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Isabella Soria, who earned ten points.

Lake Central's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Munster, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-10.

Lake Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 30-26 defeat against Hammond Central on the 8th. Munster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
