Football Recap: San Marcos Comes Up Short

San Marcos had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it four. They came up short against the Fillmore Flashes, falling 21-0. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 699th, while the Flashes are ranked 284th).

As for Fillmore, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average this season.

Fillmore got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasiah Patterson out in front who rushed for 136 yards.
