Baseball Recap: East Lake Snags 11th Win in Last 12 Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Lake had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Mitchell Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Brayden Spink was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Jackson Palmer, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

East Lake is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Mitchell, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-11.

Looking ahead, East Lake will face off against Sickles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mitchell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
