Softball Recap: Enumclaw Comes Up Short

Enumclaw entered their matchup against Kentlake on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Hornets lost 14-1 to the Falcons. The game marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Enumclaw's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Kentlake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Enumclaw will host Auburn Mountainview at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Kentlake, they will square off against Orting at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.67 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
