Basketball Game Preview: Lawrence Cardinals vs. Steinert Spartans

Lawrence is 0-10 against Steinert since February of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m.

Lawrence is leaving town to face Steinert after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Lawrence had to suffer through a 51-13 loss at the hands of Bound Brook. The Cardinals' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Steinert came into Saturday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They claimed a resounding 50-15 victory over Nottingham. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Spartans have posted since February 6th.

Lawrence took a serious blow against Steinert in their previous meeting back in February, falling 45-10. Can Lawrence avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
