Baseball Recap: Southwestern Randolph Comes Up Short

Southwestern Randolph came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wheatmore Warriors, falling 13-2. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 12-2.

Southwestern Randolph has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Wheatmore, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 7-13 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwestern Randolph will welcome Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheatmore, they will be playing at home against Uwharrie Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
