Recap: Victoria West Warriors vs. Harlingen South Hawks

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Victoria West Warriors had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They breezed by Harlingen South at home to the tune of 56-20. Considering Victoria West has won six contests by more than 34 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Camden Repper continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 168 yards and a touchdown while completing 78.6% of his passes. Repper's longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards. Another player making a difference was Kamauri Montgomery, who rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

The victory makes it two in a row for Victoria West and bumps their season record up to 6-6. As for Harlingen South, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.

Victoria West will head out on the road to face off against Miller at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Miller knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matches -- so hopefully Victoria West likes a good challenge. Harlingen South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
