Soccer Recap: Hampton Roads Academy Comes Up Short

Hampton Roads Academy lost against Norfolk Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Navigators lost 8-0 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Hampton Roads Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Norfolk Academy are ranked eighth).

Hampton Roads Academy's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-3-1. As for Norfolk Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-1-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hampton Roads Academy will square off against rival Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Norfolk Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Norfolk Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
