Basketball Recap: Center Moriches Falls to Babylon in First Game of Season

Center Moriches had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 51-40 to the Babylon Panthers. The Red Devils were probably out for revenge after losing 36-29 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Babylon can attribute much of their success to Giavanna Randazzo, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Logue - Boyd, who earned 15 points.

Babylon pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Center Moriches will welcome Southampton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southampton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Babylon, they will venture away from home to square off against East Hampton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
