Baseball Recap: Chisholm Trail Victorious

It was close, but on Tuesday the Chisholm Trail Rangers sidestepped the Fossil Ridge Panthers for a 3-1 victory.

Logan Rosales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Chisholm Trail saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Pi?a, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That run marked the first that Pi?a scored this season.

Chisholm Trail's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Fossil Ridge, they dropped their record down to 5-18-2 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Chisholm Trail will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
