Basketball Recap: Brackett Tigers vs. Utopia Buffaloes
Brackett unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Utopia Buffaloes. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.
It was another big night for Jett Smothers, who scored 16 points plus six steals and five rebounds for Utopia. The dominant performance also gave Smothers a new career-high in offensive rebounds (three). Charlie Leman was another key player, posting eight points along with 12 rebounds.
The win for Utopia keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
