Softball Recap: Hammonton's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Hammonton was the 14-1 winner over Absegami when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Braves by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The loss was the Blue Devils' first of the season.

Gracie Ravenkamp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Hammonton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vivian Wilson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hammonton fell to 3-1. As for Absegami, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hammonton is set to challenge their familiar foe Atlantic County Institute of Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Absegami will take on rival Buena at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
