The La Serna Lancers are taking a road trip to face off against the California Condors at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
La Serna is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Whittier on Tuesday. With that win, the Lancers brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Cann Puig looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Aubrie Baruch was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Mariah Mihecoby was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
La Serna was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .425 or higher in three consecutive matches.
California came out on top against El Rancho on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Condors never let the Dons get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Condors as they're now sitting on three straight.
Not much got past Alexis Salas, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep El Rancho off the board.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hailey Chavolla, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
La Serna's record now sits at 14-9. As for California, their record is now 17-9.
La Serna was able to grind out a solid victory over California when the teams last played back in April, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
