Volleyball Recap: Dunmore Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Dunmore took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Mountain View, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bucks had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Dunmore took Mountain View into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10, 16-25, 23-25, 15-9.

Dunmore found their leader in sophomore Elena Piepoli, who had 14 digs and one assist.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addison Kilmer, who had ten kills, nine blocks, and seven digs. Kilmer has been hot for a while, having posted two or more blocks the last 11 times she's played. Aubrey Sanders was another key player, getting 18 assists and eight digs.

Dunmore pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Mountain View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Dunmore didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Western Wayne on the 2nd. As for Mountain View, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Lakeland on the 1st.
