Volleyball Recap: Emery Comes Up Short

Emery came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the North Sanpete Hawks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-6, 25-17.

Elly Stilson paced Emery's offense, picking up four kills. Stilson got some help from Morgan Tuttle and her six assists.

Emery has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for North Sanpete, the win keeps them at an undefeated 28-0.

Emery and North Sanpete will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Spartans see the court they'll take on Canyon View at 10:30 a.m. on the 27th. As for North Sanpete, their break will end when they face Ben Lomond at 9:00 a.m. on the 27th.
