Soccer Game Preview: Enumclaw vs. Beamer

The Enumclaw Hornets will venture away from home to square off against the Beamer Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Enumclaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

On Monday, neither Enumclaw nor Auburn Mountainview could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The outcome might've been different if Nery Ruiz hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Landon Breidenbach was the only thing that stood between Enumclaw and a shutout considering he scored both of Enumclaw's goals, bringing his season total up to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, Beamer got their first taste of in-conference action on Monday and they started things off strong. They had just enough and edged out Kent-Meridian 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Beamer were the better team in the second half.

Enumclaw's draw makes their record 5-5-3 this season. As for Beamer, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8.

Everything went Enumclaw's way against Beamer in their previous meeting back in March, as Enumclaw made off with a 5-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
