Volleyball Recap: Pueblo East Starts off Right with Win over Mesa Ridge + How To Watch

Pueblo East took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mesa Ridge Grizzlies. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pueblo East was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-13.

Ashlynn Koch paced Pueblo East's offense, picking up nine kills. Koch got some help from Cheyanne Ortiz and her 27 assists. Claire Baker controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Pueblo East has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Falcon on the 23rd. As for Mesa Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Woodland Park on the 26th.
