Jenkins falls short of Cartersville in the playoffs

Recap: Jenkins Warriors vs. Cartersville Hurricanes
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Jenkins Warriors, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by the Hurricanes 35-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Jenkins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Cartersville is ranked 23rd).
Leading Cartersville to victory were Khristian Lando and Andrew Purdy. Lando rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns, while Purdy rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Jenkins' loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Cartersville, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Jenkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cartersville will square off against Coffee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coffee is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
