Recap: Madill Wildcats vs. Pauls Valley Panthers

The Madill Wildcats waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They strolled past Pauls Valley with points to spare, taking the game 54-35. 54 seems to be a good number for Madill as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Madill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Wilkerson, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. Wilkerson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brylan James, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Madill's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Pauls Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.

Madill won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Idabel at 8:00 p.m. on January 20th. Idabel has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,148 points over their last 14 contests. As for Pauls Valley, they will be playing at home against Bridge Creek at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bridge Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pauls Valley in Oklahoma (Bridge Creek is ranked 20th, while Pauls Valley is ranked 70th).
