Baseball Game Preview: Westmoor Rams vs. South San Francisco Warriors

The Westmoor Rams will head out to square off against the South San Francisco Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westmoor has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Westmoor came up short against Priory on Thursday, falling 11-1. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westmoor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cristian Fausto, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after a string of 13 wins, South San Francisco's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Crystal Springs Uplands by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

South San Francisco's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Westmoor, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Westmoor has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like South San Francisco struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Westmoor suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to South San Francisco in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
