Basketball Recap: Joshua Comes Up Short

Joshua lost against Centennial back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Joshua Owls fell just short of the Centennial Spartans by a score of 55-52.

Joshua's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-14. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Centennial, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Joshua will take on Everman at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Everman will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Joshua surely won't give up without a fight. As for Centennial, they will square off against Burleson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
