Baseball Game Preview: Piedmont Panthers vs. Parkwood Wolf Pack

The Piedmont Panthers will take on the Parkwood Wolf Pack at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Piedmont is looking for their season's first victory.

On Tuesday, Piedmont came up short against Parkwood and fell 4-1. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Peyton Archer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Piedmont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drake Covington, who went 2-for-4 with one double. Colby Dawson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Parkwood's win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Piedmont, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
