Basketball Recap: Foothill Piles Up the Points Against Johnson

There's no place like home for Foothill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They breezed past the Johnson Warriors to the tune of 81-37 on Friday. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foothill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tomari Harris, who went 8-for-17 en route to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Harris continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Joshua Landi was another key player, going 8-for-14 on his way to 20 points and four steals.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Uzziah Radrokai, who posted ten points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Radrokai a new career-high in points.

Foothill is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to assists: they averaged an imposing 8.5 assists in those games compared to only 8.5 in the others. As for Johnson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.

Foothill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 86-32 win against Florin on the 12th. As for Johnson, they have also already played their next game, a 77-36 defeat against Fairfield on the 12th.
