Basketball Recap: Micah Anderson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Thurston over Lakes

North Thurston fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Lakes on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 72-61 to the Lakes Lancers. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lancers earlier this season, when they won 72-65.

North Thurston lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Micah Anderson, who went 8 of 18 en route to 22 points and five boards. Anderson's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jorden Walker, who posted ten points.

North Thurston's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Thurston will take on River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
