Softball Recap: Plano East Comes Up Short

Plano East lost against Prosper back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Plano East fell 5-1 to Prosper. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gina Martin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Plano East's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Prosper, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plano East will face off against McKinney Boyd at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Plano East's pitchers better be ready for this one: McKinney Boyd has averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Prosper, they are taking a road trip to challenge Rock Hill at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
