Basketball Recap: Sterling Takes a Loss

Sterling was the 50-49 winner over Westbury when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 33-32 to the Huskies. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sterling's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amanda Scott, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Brianna Smith, who scored eight points.

Sterling now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Westbury, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sterling will take on rival Austin at 6:00 p.m. on December 1. Meanwhile, Westbury is set to square off against their familiar foe Milby at 6:00 p.m. on December 1.
