Basketball Recap: Sand Point Falls Short Against Ranked King Cove

On Saturday, Sand Point faced King Cove in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Sand Point Eagles/Lady Eagles fell just short of the King Cove T-Jacks and Rookies by a score of 55-53. The Eagles/Lady Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the T-Jacks and Rookies earlier this season, when they won 60-54.

This is the second loss in a row for Sand Point and nudges their season record down to 10-6. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 2.5 points. As for King Cove, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.

As of now, neither Sand Point nor King Cove have any future games scheduled.
