MaxPreps breaks down what may be the best game in the nation this week.

DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) at American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.)

Why it's big: Labor Day weekend is way too early to talk about national title implications, but let's do it anyway. No. 4 DeMatha made a statement last week with its stunning 38-14 blowout against then-No. 2 Miami Central – a game it led 38-0 in the fourth quarter. Another win versus a ranked team from Florida, this time on the road, would certainly enhance the Stags' championship resume.

American Heritage followed up its preseason win over then-No. 7 IMG Academy with a 36-8 romp over Stephenson (Stone Mountain, Ga.) in Atlanta. Senior defensive end Brian Burns, a four-star prospect according to 247Sports, led the No. 19 Patriots' ferocious defense with two sacks and another tackle for loss.

Names to watch: Junior quarterback Beau English accounted for more than 200 total yards and four touchdowns to lead DeMatha's offensive attack last week. Penn State-committed four-star linebacker Shane Simmons leads a defense that posted a shutout against Miami Central for three quarters.

Among American Heritage's 10 players holding FBS scholarship offers, the prospect with the highest ceiling might be senior flex tight end Nick Eubanks. The 6-foot-6, 215-pounder is expected to choose between scholarship offers from Alabama and Georgia.
