Skyline faced Springfield Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Tigers blew past the Fighting Irish 14-2. The Tigers' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Adena Acker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Kinsley Volcko was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Jenna Hunt, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Skyline was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Skyline's record is now 10-0. As for Springfield Catholic, they dropped their record down to 7-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
