Softball Recap: Aucilla Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Aucilla Christian had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the First Christian Lions on Thursday as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

Makayla Kelly made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Aucilla Christian got a massive performance out of Alexandria Whaley, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Harli Ray was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Aucilla Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
