Basketball Recap: Windermere Prep's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

It's playoff time, and Windermere Prep had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victor by a 74-53 margin over The Villages Charter Buffalo on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Lakers, who have now won four games in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windermere Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joba Oyedeji, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most boards Oyedeji has posted since back in December of 2024. Jazlyn Bowman was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 16 points.

The Villages Charter's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Herva Brutus, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Narjhani Harris, who went 5-for-12 on her way to 16 points.

Windermere Prep's record now sits at 21-7. As for The Villages Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-6.

Coming up, Windermere Prep is taking a road trip to challenge Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cardinal Mooney's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 matches. The Villages Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
