Basketball Recap: West Stanly Comes Up Short

If West Stanly was riding high fresh off their 56-4 takedown of Central Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Stanly Colts fell to the Parkwood Wolf Pack 74-70. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (56), the Colts still had to take the loss.

It was another big night for Jordan Vaughn, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 19 boards for Parkwood. With that strong performance, Vaughn is now averaging an impressive 8.4 rebounds per game. Izabella Delli Colli was another key player, going 5 of 8 en route to 16 points.

West Stanly's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Parkwood, they pushed their record up to 6-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

West Stanly wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-44 victory against Piedmont on the 29th. Parkwood has also already played their next contest, a 70-13 win against Central Academy on the 29th.
