Volleyball Recap: The Academy of the Holy Cross Beats St. John's for Their 13th Straight Victory

The Academy of the Holy Cross extended their winning streak to 13 on Thursday, bumping them up to 13-0. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. John's Cadets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tartans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Emme Wolfe paced The Academy of the Holy Cross' offense, picking up ten kills. Wolfe got some help from Vivian Blue and her 22 assists. Bess Mcintyre controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

As for St. John's, their loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since September 5th.

Despite the loss, St. John's still got an impressive performance from Wynn Eaton, who had five digs, two aces, and one block. Eaton is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. The Academy of the Holy Cross is set to take on their familiar foe Bishop McNamara at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, St. John's will challenge rival Bishop O'Connell at 6:31 p.m. on Monday.
