Volleyball Recap: Wesleyan Christian's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but Wesleyan Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wright Christian Wildcats. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since Thursday.

Wesleyan Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 30-28, 25-20, 25-19.

Wesleyan Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Wright Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 21-4 record this season.

Wright Christian will host Union Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wesleyan Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' game: after the Wildcats face off against Liberty Academy, they'll take on Wesleyan Christian again at 7:00 p.m. on October 6.
