Softball Recap: Holy Spirit Extends Winning Streak to Two

Holy Spirit extended their postseason success on Thursday against Rutgers Prep. They beat the Argonauts by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-2. Considering the Spartans have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Jazlynn Santiago, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Holy Spirit and bumps their season record up to 16-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Rutgers Prep, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Holy Spirit will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Argonauts: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Tuesday.
