Green Valley extended the longest winning streak in I Sunrise - Northeast this week by beating Valley, 49-0. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Gators.
Las Vegas's dynamic duo of Trevor Swenson and Aaron Zanin-Banks proved tough for Rancho to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Swenson threw for 175 yards and one touchdown and Zanin-Banks had 65 yards receiving. Vince Castro helped Las Vegas' passing attack out by catching two balls for 40 yards.
Alex Cater was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 39 carries, he ran for 152 yards as Silverado beat the Rams. Teammate Alek Aragon added to the ground attack by rushing for 25 yards.
Las Vegas' Swenson and Joshua Mayfield have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Swenson has thrown for 837 yards this season, while Mayfield, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 22 catches for 275 yards. Cater from the Skyhawks leads the league in rushing with 1214 yards.
The marquee game in I Sunrise - Northeast this week will be the clash between the Wildcats and Green Valley. Las Vegas comes into the matchup ranked 16th in the state, while the Gators ranks seventh.
Green Valley led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Vikings.
