Softball Recap: South Philadelphia Gets the Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Philadelphia). They skirted past the Philadelphia High School for Girls GAZELLE 11-10. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by just one run.

South Philadelphia got a massive performance out of Kaliyah Brown, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Adrian (Carter) Dickerson-Carter, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 4-for-4.

South Philadelphia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

The win got South Philadelphia back to even at 2-2. As for Philadelphia High School for Girls, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, South Philadelphia and Philadelphia High School for Girls will both be playing Frankford the next time they take the field. Philadelphia High School for Girls will host Frankford at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while South Philadelphia will head out to face them at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
