Volleyball Recap: Burns Extends Winning Streak to Five

In Monday's Canine Competition, Burns came out on top. They put the hurt on the Lincolnton Wolves with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Burns walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18, 25-16.

Karlye Clay paced Burns' offense, picking up 17 kills. Clay got some help from Alexis Martin and her 28 assists. Jordan Walker controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the loss, Lincolnton still got an impressive performance from Akira Connor, who had 36 digs. Connor has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 14 times she's played.

Burns' record now sits at 20-5. As for Lincolnton, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Burns didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against East Gaston on the 14th. Lincolnton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
