Basketball Recap: Mayfield Comes Up Short

Mayfield fought the good fight in their overtime match against Graves County on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Graves County Eagles by a score of 43-41. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Mayfield's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Graves County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Mayfield nor Graves County have any future games scheduled.
