Basketball Recap: Schuyler County Takes a Loss

Schuyler County lost against Putnam County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Schuyler County Rams took a 73-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Putnam County Midgets. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (57), the Rams still had to take the loss.

Schuyler County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 17-11 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points over those games. As for Putnam County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Schuyler County will take on Putnam County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Putnam County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for they, they have already played their next game, a 73-57 defeat against Princeton on the 11th.
