Fatima entered their tilt with Boonville on Tuesday with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Pirates. The Comets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

Fatima was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-16, 18-25, 25-14, 15-13.

Alayna Backes paced Fatima's offense, picking up 27 kills. Backes got some help from Lily Kempker and her 50 assists. Kempker was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Boonville still got an impressive performance from Addison Johnson, who had 22 digs and four assists. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Fatima's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Boonville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Fatima didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Jefferson City on the 25th. As for Boonville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against St. Paul Lutheran on the 25th.
