Basketball Game Preview: Ezekiel Academy Knights vs. Brooklane Baptist Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Ezekiel Academy Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Brooklane Baptist Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ezekiel Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Ezekiel Academy is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Heritage Christian Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Ezekiel Academy blew Heritage Christian Academy out of the water with an 80-28 final score. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Kelson Free, who went 10 for 14 on his way to 22 points in addition to six boards and four steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gerard Johnson, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks.

Ezekiel Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brooklane Baptist, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 73-66 victory over First Assembly Christian on Thursday.

Brooklane Baptist's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.8 points. As for Ezekiel Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
