The Kingsway Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Cherokee Chiefs at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Kingsway sitting on eight straight victories and Cherokee on five.

Kingsway came out on top against Gloucester County Tech on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run fifth inning. The Dragons put the hurt on Gloucester County Tech with a sharp 13-2 win. Considering the Dragons have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Cherokee never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against Eastern as they made off with a 14-0 victory. With that win, the Chiefs brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Not much got past Cali Taylor, who gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Eastern off the board. Taylor has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cherokee got a massive performance out of Kasey McNee, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Mollee Jacobus was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Cherokee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Kingsway pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Cherokee, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
