Alleghany waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys.

TAYLOR STAYTON paced Alleghany's offense, picking up five kills. STAYTON got some help from NEVAEH FORBES and her 13 assists. FORBES was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Alleghany's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Alleghany wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against James River on the 27th. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Dan River on the 30th.
