Volleyball Recap: Rancho Rams vs. Cimarron-Memorial Spartans
Rancho was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Cimarron-Memorial scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-21.
Cimarron-Memorial found their leader in freshman Adam Flores, who had six digs and three aces. Adrian Cordero also deserves some recognition as he served his first aces of the season.
Rancho now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Cimarron-Memorial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.
Looking ahead, Rancho is taking a road trip to square off against Basic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they will be taking part in a tournament against Copper Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
