Soccer Game Preview: Waco vs. Belton

Waco hasn't had much luck against Belton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions will host the Tigers at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Waco took a four-goal defeat the last time they faced off against University, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Trojans 3-2. The game was the first time Waco have beaten University on their pitch since March 13, 2023.

Meanwhile, Belton waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Belton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by five goals or more this season.

Waco now has a winning record of 7-6-2. As for Belton, their win bumped their record up to 7-5-3.
