Basketball Game Preview: Madison Marlins vs. Waltrip Rams

Madison is on a three-game streak of home losses, Waltrip a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Saturday. The Madison Marlins will welcome the Waltrip Rams at 4:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Madison had to suffer through a 52-22 loss at the hands of Spring Woods. While losing is never fun, the Marlins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1598th, while the Tigers are ranked 686th).

Meanwhile, Waltrip played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Galena Park 48-17. The Rams were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Waltrip's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-18.
